The Cimo K85T-G10-Bti folding knife is the Titanium version of the Komodo Tanto K85T folding knife. It maintains all the main features, including the efficient safety lock and pocket clip with a design suitable for daily use in your EDC. In addition to the Tanto profile blade coated with titanium, all fastening screws, blade back, and pocket clip are also coated with our BTi (Black Titanium) technology. What was already robust for extreme situations like a Komodo Dragon is now almost indestructible.

After all, what is CIMOBTi – Black Titanium technology?

This Black Titanium application technology in cutlery was developed by Cimo for coating stainless steel blades and moving components like screws and pocket clips. With it, we deposit titanium on the surface of the components, increasing their lifespan and giving the blade a dark (black) color with a bluish-black hue.

Tanto blade made of stainless steel coated with BTi and one-hand opening:

The blade of the Cimo K85T-G10-BTi folding knife is made of AISI 420C stainless steel coated with Titanium and has a hardness of 52-55 HRC. The Tanto profile is a classic Japanese design widely used in Samurai swords. Our reinterpretation of this blade is hollow ground, with a design developed by CIMO, suitable for precise cuts. This blade has an incredibly durable edge. In its manufacturing process, the blade is tempered at 1000 ºC, and tests are performed that simulate atmospheric effects, proving the knife's longevity.

With BTi (Black Titanium) application, which guarantees a surface hardness of 3000 Vickers, comparable to the hardness of Sapphire.

The Tanto profile facilitates specific uses for straight and precise cuts, combined with our hollow grind sharpening, you have an incredibly sharp and resistant tool, with a thickness of 2.5 mm and a length of 8.5 cm, a size that can be considered a large knife yet very practical for your EDC (every day carry).

The iconic hole in the blade is inspired by the shape of a Komodo dragon's eye. With it, you can open the knife with just one hand, and of course, hear the perfect "click" of its lock engaging the blade. Besides seeing the quality, you feel it when opening a CIMO blade.

Handle in Digital Camo G10 (green):

The G10 handle with a digital camouflage design in green and a grippy texture, cut by a computerized process, ensures a perfect fit for the handle and screws. With rounded and precise scale edges, on the back, you will find a hole for your paracord or lanyard.

Safety Lock

The safety lock is a Cimo trademark; it prevents accidents and keeps you safe when storing it in your pocket, backpack, or anywhere else you desire, as it features practical tests and precision in its manufacturing and assembly.

Titanium Coated Pocket Clip

The knife also features a titanium-coated pocket clip (back clip), providing convenience for transport, and can be attached to a pocket or belt.
