History of CIMO
In 1964, in a small 150m² warehouse, we founded what would later become one of the benchmarks in the Brazilian cutlery industry. With designs still drawn on paper and almost 100% manual production, our first 3 pocket knife models were created.
In the 1980s, we saw the need to grow and introduced new strategies, increasing production and creating new items.
We grew and became CIMO. We left the first rented warehouse and acquired our own facility with over 6,000 m² of land and over 3,000 m² of built area.
With an increasing number of customers and employees in the 1990s, we began to make large investments in machinery and equipment to meet production needs. In 2003, we implemented the automation of manufacturing processes.
We followed international market trends, changed packaging, created new product projects with safety locks, and formed partnerships with the largest cutlery companies in the United States.
In 2016, we completely reformulated the brand, creating new designs and functionalities for products. By then, we were already a company with products nationally recognized for their technology and compared to the best brands in the world.
Today, more than 90% of our items are laser-cut, guaranteeing great precision and less material waste.
We know that the innovation process must be continuous, and we will work every day to deliver the best to you, because you will always be our greatest treasure.
