The Cimo 3003/8-BTi Knife is the Black Titanium version of the Cimo Oiti Santoku Knife, it maintains all the main features such as the jatobá wood handle. With a full flat grind that ensures the best cut and a titanium-coated blade with our BTi (Black Titanium) technology, this knife becomes something beyond cutting—the knife, which was already resistant, is now almost indestructible.

What exactly is CIMOBTi – Black Titanium technology?

This Black Titanium application technology in cutlery was developed by Cimo for coating stainless steel blades and moving components such as screws and pocket clips. By depositing titanium on the surface of the components, we increase their lifespan and also give the blade a dark (black) coloration with a bluish-black hue.

See below the advantages of having a Cimo blade with our BTi technology:

  • Material surface hardness above 3000 Vickers, equivalent to sapphire hardness
  • Biocompatibility* – will not leave residue or interact with food.
*Titanium is considered a biomaterial (biocompatible material) due to its low reactivity and high stability, ideal for use in the kitchen, barbecue, or fishing.
  • 100% national manufacturing
  • Non-stick surface
  • Chemical stability – Increased rust-proof property of stainless steel.
  • Resistance against wear, scratches, or scrapes

Knife with black blade, made of stainless steel and coated with BTi.

The blade is made of 420C stainless steel and tempered in a controlled atmosphere to achieve high hardness, even for a 420 series steel. This allows us to combine hardness, which will retain the cutting edge longer, with greater resistance to oxidation.

With the application of BTi (Black Titanium) technology, which guarantees a surface hardness of 3000 Vickers, comparable to the hardness of Sapphire.

Santoku profile blade for general use in barbecue or kitchen, very versatile for chopping, slicing, and cutting larger pieces of meat and vegetables. Due to its height, the cut is more stabilized and precise.

With a full flat grind (the entire blade is ground, forming a razor edge), the cut lasts longer and makes it easier to cut more rigid objects without losing the blade's strength, while also making the blade lighter compared to traditional grinding.

Jatobá handle and titanium bolster.

The Oiti line handle is an exclusive design by Cutelaria Cimo. Designed for daily use, the handle has an inverted design with the larger part at the front of the handle, thus improving the ergonomics and practicality of using the knife, with balanced weight and the use of jatoba wood and a titanium-coated stainless steel bolster.

All these items add more comfort for prolonged use of the knife in the kitchen or for barbecue.

Comes with a special case, with magnetic closure and velvet lining.
