The Cimo EC85-GTi folding knife is the Gold Titanium version of the ECLIPSE knife. It maintains all the main features such as the carbon fiber handle and an efficient safety lock and pocket clip with a design suitable for daily use in your EDC. In addition to the titanium-coated blade, all fastening screws, blade back, and pocket clip are also coated with our GTi (Gold Titanium) technology. What was already robust for extreme situations, like carbon fiber, is now almost indestructible.

So what is CIMOGTi – Gold Titanium technology?

This Gold Titanium Nitride application technology for cutlery was developed by Cimo for coating stainless steel blades, movable components like screws and pocket clips. With this, we deposit titanium on the surface of the components, increasing their lifespan and also giving a golden color to the blades and components.

Stainless steel blade coated with Titanium and one-hand opening:

The blade is made of 420C stainless steel and tempered in a controlled atmosphere to achieve high hardness, even for a 420 series steel. This allows us to combine hardness, which will retain the cutting edge longer, with greater resistance to oxidation.

With the application of GTi (Gold Titanium) technology, which guarantees a surface hardness of 3000 Vickers, comparable to the hardness of Sapphire.

The clip point profile facilitates general use with greater precision, combined with our hollow grind sharpening, you have an incredibly sharp and resistant tool, with a thickness of 2.5 mm and a length of 8.5 cm, a size that we can consider a large pocket knife yet very practical for use in your EDC (every day carry).

The ECLIPSE GTi pocket knife is truly exceptional.
